CONMEBOL - Footsteps of Passion

A Festival of Football. A Celebration of Culture. A World-Class Experience.

As part of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Footsteps of Passion was an ambitious cultural activation presented by CONMEBOL (the South American Football Confederation) in Sydney - and Blu Event Productions was proud to lead the full production delivery of this major event.

Held over two weeks and attracting more than 200,000 attendees, Footsteps of Passion was an interactive, family-friendly experience that brought the spirit of South American football to life through sport, music, art, and culture. The free-entry precinct featured live entertainment, football skills zones, giant games, vibrant installations, and dynamic performance spaces that drew crowds daily throughout the tournament.

Blu Event Productions managed end-to-end production, including infrastructure, site builds, staging, lighting, audio, signage, logistics, safety, and daily operations. Working in close collaboration with CONMEBOL’s international team, we ensured seamless delivery across all elements - bringing global vision to life with local expertise.

From concept to execution, Footsteps of Passion was one of the largest fan activations of the tournament - and a true celebration of unity through sport.

Blu Event Productions acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the lands and waterways in the area now known as Yarra, and pays respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging, as well as to all First Nations’ communities who significantly contribute to the life of the area.
