Me and UooUoo

100 Sculptures. 1 City. $1 Million Raised.

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of The Royal Children’s Hospital, Me and UooUoo (pronounced “you-you”) transformed Melbourne into an interactive open-air gallery - and Blu Event Productions was honoured to manage all operational, event, and logistical planning for this landmark project.

Spanning 16 months of planning and delivery, our team coordinated the installation of 100 uniquely designed UooUoo sculptures across iconic Melbourne locations - each hand-painted by a different Australian artist. BEP managed the end-to-end artist engagement process, along with all permitting, safety, site planning, and ongoing trail operations to ensure a seamless rollout.

In addition to the trail, BEP also delivered a range of virtual and in-person events, designed to engage the community, celebrate the artists, and amplify campaign awareness. We worked collaboratively with a wide network of major sponsors, corporate partners, and stakeholders, including the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Multiplex, City of Melbourne, Heritage Victoria, and a number of supporting precincts and venues.

Launching just after Melbourne’s COVID-19 lockdowns in early 2021, Me and UooUoo gave the city a joyful, creative way to reconnect — while raising over $1 million for the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Blu Event Productions acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the lands and waterways in the area now known as Yarra, and pays respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging, as well as to all First Nations’ communities who significantly contribute to the life of the area.
