NAIDOC In The City

Celebrating Culture. Showcasing Talent. Supporting Community.

Held annually at Federation Square during NAIDOC Week, NAIDOC in the City is a vibrant, free public event that celebrates the strength, creativity, and culture of First Nations people - and Blu Event Productions is proud to work alongside the City of Melbourne to bring it to life.

We’ve proudly managed stage production and programming for the past three years, supporting a full day of live performances, cultural expression, and community connection. From traditional dance and contemporary music to spoken word, ceremony, and workshops — we collaborate closely with First Nations artists, creatives, and cultural advisors to ensure the program is delivered with authenticity, respect, and impact.

The event also features a bustling marketplace showcasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned businesses, artists, and food vendors — transforming the heart of the city into a celebration of identity, storytelling, and community pride.

NAIDOC in the City is more than a stage — it’s a platform for voices that matter. And Blu Event Productions is honoured to help deliver this important event year after year.

Blu Event Productions acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the lands and waterways in the area now known as Yarra, and pays respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging, as well as to all First Nations’ communities who significantly contribute to the life of the area.
